PLANNING THE
NEXT GENERATION
OF IRVING ISD
Irving ISD voters will consider a proposed $952 million bond election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
WHY NOW?
Our Schools.
Our Commitment.
Their Future.
The proposed 2026 bond continues Irving ISD's long-range facilities planning process, which began before the district's 2023 bond program. A Facilities Planning Committee (FPC), composed of community members, reviewed district planning information before recommending projects to the Board of Trustees. The proposed bond includes projects to address aging facilities, student programs, safety, technology and district infrastructure.

AGING FACILITIES
Irving ISD facilities have served students for decades. During the planning process, the Facility Planning Committee reviewed facility assessments, building conditions and long-range planning information to develop the bond proposal.
SAFETY & SECURITY
Maintaining safe learning environments was a priority of the Facility Planning Committee. The proposed projects include safety and security improvements designed to secure campuses and enhance district-wide safety measures.
STUDENT PROGRAMS
The Facility Planning Committee emphasized the importance of student engagement during their evaluation process. The proposed bond package will affect a variety of student programs, including CTE, Fine Arts, JROTC, Athletics and STEM.
TECHNOLOGY
Technology is an evolving aspect of teaching and learning. The proposed technology projects would replace aging student and staff devices, upgrade network infrastructure, enhance cybersecurity, and maintain secure, reliable access to digital learning resources.
PROPOSED PROJECTS
The proposed bond package totals approximately $952 million and includes replacement campuses, updates to technology, safety, student program facilities and district infrastructure. Explore the proposed projects to learn more about each proposition.

TAX INFORMATION
How will this impact my taxes?
If voters approve all three propositions, there will be a projected tax rate impact of $0.1250 (12.50 cents). For a $340,000 home (with a $140,000 homestead exemption), that’s $20.83 per month.
Under Texas law, the amount of school taxes paid on a residence homestead by a person 65 or older or disabled cannot increase above the amount paid in the first year the exemption is received - regardless of whether the bond passes or fails. Homeowners must apply to receive this exemption.
