Board Update - July 2023
The Board approved the recommendation to delegate authority to the Superintendent or Her Designee regarding actions required to evaluate, negotiate, and award a selected vendor for Request for Qualification (RFQ) #23B-04-600 for the Purchase of Program Management Services for Renovation, Modernization, Addition, Expansion and New construction projects related to the Irving ISD 2023 Bond Program.
Tentative Construction Timelines:
o September 2024 – February 2026 (~18 months)
Replacement of Barton Elementary School
o September 2024 – May 2026 (~21 months)
Replacement of Farine Elementary School
o August 2024 – December 2025 (~17 months)
Replacement of Crockett Middle School
o August 2025 – February 2027 (~18-20 months)
The Construction of a New Career and Technical Education Center
o June 2024 – August 2025 (~12-15 months)
Replacement of Student Transportation and Logistics Center
o April 2024 – June 2025 (~15 months)
Construction of one of the two New Baby Universities
